In the 2014-2015 school year, the clubs at Clearview have done exceptionally well in the areas of fundraising, community service and giving back to the community. For example, Youth for Youth had exceeded their expectations in the Pasta for Pennies fundraiser. The goal was to raise a little over 500 dollars and the student body raised over 800. Club president, Monique Brown, says “the members of this club are very proud of their accomplishments and this year has been more successful than most.” Spanish Club has also been very successful; they made the most money at their Christmas back sale. During lunch, students and faculty members came by to buy a baked good and take a picture with Santa to support the cause. The president of Spanish Club, has recently started a new club here at Clearview; an LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) club. This club promotes equality for all people no matter what their sexual preference is. Club president, Lyric Aquino, says, “This club will bring Clearview closer together and bring an altogether more accepting environment at school.” All of the clubs at the high school have done an amazing job this year with fundraising and making Clearview a better school to get involved in.
